  • Corpus Christi Virtual Food Drive: Through August 2
The festival of Corpus Christi is observed on June 6 this year to celebrate the Eucharist as the body of Christ. ... This jubilant festival is celebrated to proclaim the truth of the transubstantiation of bread and wine into the actual body of Christ during Mass.
It's one year since COVID-19 impacted our lives, and local families continue to struggle with food insecurity. Catholic Charities' 3 Food Pantries are helping more children, women and men than any time in their historyNow through August 2nd, you can offer much needed aid through our 8th Annual Corpus Christi (Virtual) Food Drive.
To help mee this need, Bishop Sweeney has authorized a Catholic Charities Diocesan-wide food collection in all parishes. This year as in 2020, the drive is virtual.  You can shop online and have items shipped directly to Catholic Charities Food Pantries.Visit https://yougivegoods.com/shop?drive=16599 to shop for a variety of food items which will be given to the food pantries in the name of Holy Spirit Parish.

Most months, Catholic Charities, Diocese of Paterson gives out food to 5,000 - 7,000 people at their 3 food pantries. During COVID-19, this number has more than quadrupled as they have helped over 20,000 individuals or families each month.

  • Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)

Do you know any adults who need to receive the sacraments of Baptism, First Eucharist or Confirmation? The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
(RCIA) is the process by which adults are formally received into the Roman Catholic Church. RCIA is for adults who were never baptized, or were baptized in
another Christian tradition or those who were baptized as Catholics and never received Confirmation or First Eucharist. RCIA is a process of adult faith formation
that involves prayer, instruction, and discernment within the context of a small faith community.

For more information about the RCIA process at Holy Spirit, please contact Steve Kass at 973-879-3102 or stephenbkass@ gmail.com.
