First Eucharist and Reconciliation

The Holy Eucharist is another sacrament of initiation where we physically receive Jesus in the entirety of His Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity. For First Communion, children must be at least seven years of age and have completed direct preparation with the parish or school. 

Your child proceeds on a journey in his/her faith life that began at Baptism, continues with the reception of the Eucharist, and culminates with Confirmation. These three sacraments of initiation prepare children to become full members of the Catholic Church. 

All children who attended religious formation as first-graders, or are Catholics registered as first-graders in Holy Spirit School, will be contacted regarding candidacy for their First Reconciliation and First Communion in second grade. The program of preparation is one year long. 

If you have a child who attends another parochial school, has not had prior formal religious formation, is not baptized OR is beyond second grade and is older than seven and has not received his/her First Reconciliation and First Communion, please contact us to get started!
